Do bear in mind that these are people that have no need in painting perfection; today Photoshop will cover everything up. Let’s face it, if we can create a smooth blemish free canvas we want it! That said, you want to do as little as possible. Too much concealer can play up precisely what you want to play down.

We recommend going with dry. TIGI cosmetics have a concealer pencil which works beautifully and is the perfect shape and size for the girl on the go. You swipe it on,pat gently to blend and walk confidently away from the mirror and into you clear- skinned life.( for dryer than dry try our powder foundation for further absorption of oils: dryer avoids clumping!)

Blog Post: The Real Scoop on Keratin Treatments

How often have you seen pictures in magazines of beautiful hair on a beautiful woman? That beautiful hair could be someone wearing their lush long locks with shine and bounce. Perhaps your perception of beautiful is frizz free, looser curls. Beautiful hair is in the eye of the beholder. Allow us to help tame that mane of hair. Don’t settle with looking at beautiful hair in magazines when you could be looking in the mirror and admiring your own.

Venus and Mars now offers those exact results. Our salon will, not only, deliver you the look with your cut and or color, but will educate you in replicating it at home. We once offered Keratin Treatments, which were introduced into our industry as a reconstructive system and stopped performing the service all together back in the spring. We were concerned over all the controversy that one key ingredient (formaldehyde) caused. It is the key active ingredient in every manufacturer’s formula, whether small % or derivative of, you better believe it is in the product!

We’re disappointed that we are not able to offer this service. We, ultimately, did what we felt was ethically and morally responsible. My staff’s health, my health and that of my guests is far more valuable.

My disbelief in the harmful effects attribute to my researching a product that could boast those benefits of Keratin Treatments without the health issues. It’s been a long 8 months, but we now have the Hair Taming System in place. The Canadian government along with other European countries banned Keratin Treatments, due to lack of regulation control. GK Hair is the first Taming System accepted back into Canada along with 76 other countries. Its’ formulas, which contain Juvexin, is perhaps the most revolutionary development in hair care in the past 50 years. Juvexin is a blend of proteins optimized specifically for hair. Juvexin is derived from pristine sheep wool through an environmentally-friendly process. It contains Cysteine Disulfide — which means that it is able to form disulfide bridges. These disulfide bridges create a helix shape that is extremely strong and repairs the hair from previous damage and protects the hair from future damage.

Light Ware

Full Tame Resistant

For those who have unruly hair and want it to be tamed and left silky, soft and smooth.

All of these formulas are recommended for clients with “virgin hair.”
